Title: Adventures in Extension: Getting Involved with Service Teaching

Abstract: Extension is one of the three core principles of the land grant mission, yet not everyone who attends one of these universities will participate in service teaching. If you have ever wondered what exactly extension is or how you can get involved, this seminar will help you understand the basics of speaking and writing for a general public audience and will prime you to deliver educational extension materials. There will also be a discussion of how to use extension to enhance your CV and hopefully land a job upon graduation.
