Chemical interaction of arsenic and phosphorus and the effect this has on aquatic insect behavior. Oftentimes, toxicology studies focus on mortality as an endpoint. I would like to investigate the sublethal impacts of pollution on insect behavior to help understand the broader impacts to the environment that come from disrupted ecosystem services, which can occur at levels of pollution below that which causes death. My work is both lab and field based, with a study location located in the Owens River watershed in Mono Co., CA.
